Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 May 2026
Quick summary
These Terms are the agreement between you and Findo for using the service. The short version:
- You must be 18 or older to use Findo.
- Findo is in early access. Features may change, and accounts and saved items may be reset before general launch.
- Findo helps you discover items from third-party marketplaces such as Etsy. Findo does not sell those items, does not process payments, and is not affiliated with the marketplaces it surfaces.
- Findo is provided as-is. We do our best, but we can't guarantee that every result is accurate, available, or in stock.
- Disputes between you and Findo are resolved by individual arbitration, with small claims court as an option. You have 30 days from sign-up to opt out — see Section 13.
- You can stop using Findo at any time and delete your account from Settings.
If you have questions, see Section 15 for how to contact us.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Findo (“Findo,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) for your use of Findo at fromfindo.com, findo-app.vercel.app, and any related services (together, the “Service”).
By using the Service — including by clicking Continue on the sign-in page or otherwise creating or accessing a Findo account — you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Findo. By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you are legally able to enter into this agreement.
3. What Findo is
Findo is an AI-powered home decor shopping assistant. You describe what you're looking for and your style; Findo runs daily searches and surfaces items from third-party online marketplaces that match your brief.
Findo is a discovery tool. Findo does not sell items, does not process payments, does not handle shipping, and does not fulfil orders. When you find an item you want to buy, you complete the purchase directly with the marketplace where the item is listed.
4. Beta / early access
Findo is currently provided as an early-access preview. The Service is under active development and may change without notice.
You acknowledge and agree that during this early-access period:
- The Service may be modified, suspended, restricted, or discontinued at any time, in whole or in part, with or without notice.
- Accounts and associated data may be reset, deleted, or migrated as part of moving the Service from early access toward general availability.
- Features may be added, changed, or removed.
- The Service may experience interruptions, errors, or data inconsistencies that would not be acceptable in a production service.
You should not rely on Findo as your sole record of items you are considering or wish to keep. We recommend independently saving any items that matter to you (for example, by visiting the live listing on the marketplace).
5. Your account
To use Findo, you sign in with a magic link sent to your email. By creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide a valid email address that you control.
- Keep your account credentials and email account secure.
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings (Delete Account). On deletion, all data associated with your account is removed from Findo's database.
6. Third-party marketplaces
Findo surfaces items from third-party marketplaces, currently including Etsy. Your use of those marketplaces is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, not Findo's.
When you click a result in Findo, you are taken to the marketplace's website to view and (if you choose) purchase the item. Any transaction is between you and the marketplace and the seller. Findo is not a party to that transaction and does not handle payments, shipping, taxes, returns, or disputes.
Marketplace data shown in Findo may not always reflect the current state on the marketplace. Prices, availability, shipping options, and other details can change after Findo's last refresh, and items may sell out or be removed by the seller. Always check the live listing on the marketplace before completing a purchase.
Findo's ability to surface marketplace data depends on third-party APIs that we do not control. These integrations may change, be restricted, or become unavailable, and the items Findo can find may change accordingly.
The term “Etsy” is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This Application uses Etsy's API, but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy.
7. Acceptable use
When using Findo, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Attempt to access the Service in a way that bypasses authentication, rate limits, or security controls.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk.
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others.
- Submit content that is illegal, infringing, or designed to introduce malware or interfere with the Service.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service or its outputs without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we believe, in good faith, that you have violated these Terms.
8. Intellectual property
Findo and its underlying software, design, and brand (including the Findo name and wordmark) are owned by Findo and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to Findo's intellectual property except for the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
Listings shown in Findo (including item titles, descriptions, images, and prices) are owned by the marketplaces and the sellers who post them, not by Findo. Your rights to that content are governed by the relevant marketplace's terms.
You retain ownership of the content you submit to Findo (such as your item briefs and style descriptions). By submitting content, you grant Findo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you.
9. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Findo disclaims all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or harmful components, or that the items, prices, or availability shown will be accurate or current at the time you act on them.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Findo be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, even if Findo has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In any event, Findo's total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the limitations above may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Findo from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe in good faith that you have violated these Terms or that suspension or termination is necessary to protect the Service, other users, or Findo.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, no warranty, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and these surviving terms — will survive.
13. Dispute resolution
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO BRING A LAWSUIT IN COURT OR TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.
(a) Informal resolution. Before filing any formal claim, you and Findo agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally. You can email us with a description of the issue, and we will attempt to resolve it within 30 days. Most disputes can be resolved this way.
(b) Binding individual arbitration. If informal resolution does not succeed, you and Findo agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, except as set out in subsections (d) and (e) below. The arbitration will be conducted under the Consumer Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), available at adr.org. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding.
(c) Class action waiver. You and Findo each agree that any dispute will be brought only in your or our individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any class or representative proceeding.
(d) Small claims carve-out. Notwithstanding subsection (b), either party may bring an individual claim in a small claims court of competent jurisdiction, provided the matter remains in that court and proceeds only on an individual (non-class) basis.
(e) Injunctive relief. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights or to enforce the confidentiality of any proprietary information.
(f) Opt-out. You may opt out of this Dispute Resolution section (including the arbitration agreement and class action waiver) by emailing us within 30 days of creating the Findo account to which the opt-out applies. Your email must include the account email address and a clear statement that you wish to opt out. Opting out will not affect any other part of these Terms.
(g) Governing law. These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
(h) Jurisdiction for non-arbitrable claims. For claims that may be brought in court under subsections (d) or (e), you and Findo agree that the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California will have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
(i) Disputes arising from past use. This Section 13 applies to any dispute arising out of your use of the Service, including disputes that arise after your account has been deleted, with respect to the period during which you used the Service. If you delete your account and later create a new Findo account, that new account is governed by the Terms in effect at the time of the new sign-up, including a new 30-day opt-out window.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. For material changes, we will provide additional notice.
